Even the word Europe is Greek, remember.Charles de Gaulle once opined Nations don't have friends, they have interests. And most nations see those interests only in the most selfish and short-term view, ignoring the biological and cultural links that would inform a long-term, racial view of the future. Governments form alliances for their own (not the peoples or the races) interests: That's the reason America is friendly to Turkey; that's the reason America is friendly to Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. Culturally, America has nothing to relate her to those countries, just as Turkey and Europe have little in common despite some contiguous real estate. Turkey and Israel have a tactical alliance between their government and military spheres. But average Turkish people don't feel a lot of affinity for the Jewish state. For their part, the Arab states feel that Turkey betrayed them due to that alliance with Israel.Europe does not like Turkey. Arabs do not like Turkey. Americans only care about their interests. Israel has no friends. Turkey, described 100 years ago as the sick man of Europe, hasnt improved much with time.
